What is the Kütahya Chart?
The Kütahya Chart is an advisory schedule published by TÜRSAB (the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies) that courts and consumer arbitration committees also frequently rely on. It sets out the discounts or additional services guests should receive for various shortcomings and defects at hotels. Because it is advisory, it is not always applied — but it is worth checking before you submit any claims about your stay to your agency or hotel.

What is a voucher?

What is a continental breakfast?
Particularly in European countries, a bed & breakfast stay typically comes with a light breakfast of bread, toast or croissants with butter, honey or jam, and coffee. In Türkiye, bed & breakfast usually means an open buffet with options like eggs, omelettes, cereal and menemen. So if the voucher or booking confirmation for a stay abroad says "continental breakfast", we suggest lowering your breakfast expectations accordingly.
What is a "conservative" (halal-friendly) hotel concept?
Conservative (halal-friendly) hotels are properties where male and female guests typically use separate facilities — separate pools, restaurants, gyms and so on. Some offer both separate and mixed areas, while others have separate areas only. In these properties, phones and cameras are usually banned in shared areas — particularly in women-only zones, where guests who normally dress modestly may be uncovered. Check the specific concept details of each property before booking.

Are "devre mülk" (timeshare ownership) and "devre tatil" (timeshare holiday right) the same thing?
No, they are different. However, if your timeshare ownership grants overnight stays in a property across multiple periods, the rules on timeshare holiday contracts may apply. Also, timeshare ownership (devre mülk) is a real right registered at the land registry and enforceable against everyone. Whatever it's called — devre mülk or devre tatil — we recommend speaking to a lawyer before taking any steps in this area.
